The wide variety of topics is due to the nature of our institution, where research in Geography, Geology and Meteorology fields is developed. Anuário do Instituto de Geociências [ISSN 0101-9759] is a peer-reviewed Earth Sciences Journal published by Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - Centro de Ciências Matemáticas e da Natureza, Brazil. It is also presented in an eletronic version (www.anuario.igeo.ufrj.br), in which all papers published since 1977 are fully available on line. Anuário do Instituto de Geociências publishes original scientific contributions covering Geology, Paleontology, Geography, Geomorphology and Meteorology. The objectives of the Anuário do Instituto de Geociências are to publish original data concerning research in the distinct fields of Earth Sciences, such as Geography, Geology, Palaeontology, and Meteorology. It is an open publication to the whole geoscientist community. The Anuário do Instituto de Geociências was first edited in 1977, by professor Silio Vaz. It was published as one number-one volume per year until 2004. Since then, it has been published as two numbers-volume per year. |
