| Journal Description : | Finance and Society interrogates how financial practices emerge from and reshape the social world. It offers a unique post-disciplinary platform, publishing theoretical and empirical research in which the social character of finance takes precedence. The journal fosters dialogue between established and emerging perspectives on finance and society, forging synergies between ongoing research in fields such as political economy, heterodox economics, sociology, law, cultural economy, geography, organisational studies, and the social studies of finance, as well as philosophy, literary criticism, art history, cultural studies, and the humanities more broadly. Submissions are encouraged on the broad themes of money, debt, and finance, in connection with historical or contemporary aspects of technology, governance, aesthetics, and more. |
