| Journal Description : | Revista Poiésis is a biannual, open-access publication of the Graduate Program in Contemporary Studies of the Arts of the Universidade Federal Fluminense. Acting in the expanded field of arts, Revista Poiésis aims to publish articles, artworks, translations and reviews that deal in a substantive way with issues related to the production of the arts and critical thinking in contemporary times. According to its editorial policy, Poiésis prioritizes the publication of unpublished works resulting from research carried out primarily in the academic field, without excluding research, productions and practices that occur in other scenarios.
The journal began to be published at the end of the year 2000 and in 2008 it gained an electronic version available online. Since 2016, the journal is published only on the electronic portal of the Universidade Federal Fluminense on the Internet. Counting on the collaboration of professors-researchers from Brazilian and foreign universities (ad hoc referees), Poiésis adopts double-blind evaluation. In addition, Revista Poiésis uses plagiarism detection features in the material submitted for publication in order to avoid practices that are not suitable for academic production. |
