Journal Description :The Cadernos Gestao Publica e Cidadania (CGPC - Public Management and Citizenship Journal constitute a production-oriented scientific journal in two areas of knowledge: public administration and public policies, as well as their areas of interrelation. The CGPC is positioned as a space with a plural methodological orientation, open to qualitative, quantitative and multi-method studies. It is particularly interested in innovative methods able to offer scientific rigor and relevance and to contribute to the field of studies The Public Management and Citizenship Journal also accepts studies involving different actors which are related to and in the public environment, in addition to state organizations, such as: private-public partnerships, civil society organizations, initiatives of private social investment, social organization, governmental agencies, local production arrangements, in addition to intra-organizational studies whose level of analysis can be individual, group or organizational. It is worth stressing also that it is not enough to replicate analytical administration models within a context of public environment; it is essential to contextualize, translate and interpret the outcomes based on the characteristics of the Brazilian public environment. Main Objectives are: 1) to publicize academic papers excelling in public administration and policies; and 2) to contribute to the advancement of theorization about the Brazilian public sector, either as a protagonist or in actions in partnerships with other areas. Target Audience: Administrators, professors, researchers and parties interested in subjects related to the Brazilian public sector and related areas. Peer-Review Process Submission Articles will be forwarded to the Public Management and Citizenship Journal via the Open Journal System (OJS), an online article submission and management system available at Submissions. Articles may be submitted in Portuguese, English or Spanish, by observing the format, text position, style and the specific standardization of the section where the paper fit in. It is essential to read carefully the Author Guidelines, mainly the instruction about format and Ethics and Conduct so that articles are efficiently prepared. Peer Review The evaluation process begins once the newsroom receives the submitted article. Immediately, the evaluation is done by format and submission to similarity tracking. Only then, the article is sent to the editor-in-chief for desk review and peer review begins, consisting of three steps: 1ª) Triage conducted by the Editor-in-Chief, who analyzes whether the paper is aligned with the journal’s editorial position and its potential for publication; 2ª) Preliminary blind review by a member of the Scientific Editorial Board targeting on identifying whether the article contributes to its area of expertise; and 3ª) Blind review system by at least two reviewers: A process coordinated by a member of the Scientific Editorial Board of the article’s area of expertise; it consists of the interaction between author and two reviewers who, by reviewing the papers, will make comments and suggestions for improvements. This phase involves continuous reassessments where efforts are gathered to perfect the articles. Usually scientific editors and the Editor-in-Chief add to the evaluators’ suggestions some editorial advice for the purposes of improving the articles for publication.
