| Journal Description : | The Universidad y Salud Journal (Univ. Salud), edited by the Center of Health Studies of the University of Nariño, was created in March of 2000 to promote the dissemination of results of health research. In 2011, it was classified by Colciencias in category B. Later, in May 2014 it reached the category A2. As of September 15 (2017), according to the new model indexing journals in science, technology and innovation Colombian, it is indexed in category C, reflecting stability, editorial quality, and collaboration of the authors that nourish the body of the magazine and make its existence possible.
Univ. Salud is a publication that, until 2015, was published on a semestral basis. Since 2016, it is published every four months (january- april, may-august, september-december) on-line.
The publication of this journal involves enormous efforts of a dedicated team of staff, management for the acquisition of resources, constant training, careful review of content quality, selection of high quality evaluators with proven experience in their area, among other aspect.
The abbreviation of its title, Univ. Salud, should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, legends and bibliographical references.
