Journal Description :Indian Journal of Neurosciences (IJN) is an official journal indexed, peer reviewed quarterly journal publishes the researches in the field of neurosciences with a wide spectrum ranging from Embryology, developmental neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, neurology, imaging and radiology of brain and various it is published quarterly. The Indian Journal of Neurosciences, publishes original work in all the fields of developmental neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neurosurgery, neurology, imaging and radiology of brain. All papers are peer-reviewed before publication. It is a general and comprehensive journal of psychiatry, mental health clinicians, neurologists, physicians, students of mental health and those involved in mental health policy development. The Indian Journal of Neurosciences, provides very rapid publication of peer reviewed research reports, review articles, case reports and case series in the field of Neurosciences. The scope of the journal encompasses: 1. Biochemical, neurophysiological experiments, neuropharmacology, neurobiology, genetic, psychological, and social determinants of human behavior, neurophysiology and neuropathology along with neurosurgery and neuromedicine. 2. Assessment of human behavior and subjective state; and experimental neurobiology with neuropharmacology and recent advances in sleep, behavior, memory and developmental disorders of brain. 3. Evaluation of somatic and non-somatic psychiatric treatments. In addition, reports of clinically related basic studies in the fields of, neuroanatomy, embryology, neuropharmacology, neurochemistry, neuroendocrinology, electrophysiology, psychology, genetics, and brain imaging are also published in Indian Journal of Neurosciences. Significant methodological advances such as instrumentation, clinical scales, and assays directly applicable to psychiatric research are also appropriate. Brief reviews, theoretical contributions, and letters to the editor will be considered for publication if found suitable and appealing in the Indian Journal of Neurosciences. The Indian Journal of Neurosciences aims to bridge a knowledge gap of the application and transfer of research findings and clinical practice through India to and from the rest of the world. It aims to focus on neurosciences research pertinent to India produced either within or from outside the continent. This may include preclinical, clinical, service system and policy development research relevant to psychiatry and will highlight the socio-cultural diversity of the region as it pertains to mental health.
