In this study , an attempt has been made to study the loneliness of higher secondary students. The Loneliness Scale constructed and validated by Gnanadevan (201 1) has been used to measur e the level of loneliness of higher secondary students. The tool was administer ed to a random sample of 620 higher secondary students studying in Cuddalor e District of T amilnadu. The survey method has been followed for the pr esent study . The r esult of the analysis r eveals that the level of loneliness of total sample is found to be low . The male and female students studying higher secondary do not differ significantly in their level of loneliness. The higher secondary students studying T amil medium and English medium differ significantly in their level of loneliness and the students studying English medium have high level of loneliness than the students studying T amil medium. The higher secondary students r esiding at rural and urban ar ea differ significantly in their level of loneliness and the students r esiding at urban ar ea have high level of loneliness than the students r esiding at rural ar ea. The higher secondary students belonging to nuclear family and joint family differ significantly in their in their level of loneliness and the level of loneliness is high for the students belonging to nuclear family than the students belonging to joint family .

Aim. This paper examined the relationship between transformational leadership and life skills among high school managers in Iran. Background. Previous studies have found significant positive relationship between transformational leadership and life skills. Method. A correlation study was carried out with a randomly sample contained of 98 (52 males and 46 females) of high school managers. The participants responded to a Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire – MLQ (by Bass & Avolio developed in 1992). The effects of gender on Leadership were also examined and Pearson correlation analysis and two independent samples T test were used to analyze the data. Results and Conclusion. Current investigation suggested that transformational leadership significantly has positive correlation with life skill. Moreover it was found that there is significant gender difference in transformational leadership, whereas there is no significant difference between male and females in life

The ability to identify how the governance challenges of pr ogram implementation can be met r equir es detailed insights into the actual pr ocess of pr ogram implementation, with clear views on the sour ce of leakage and mismanagement, the sensitivity of pr ogram implementation to the influence of differ ent actors, local power structur es and informal bur eaucratic pr ocesses. This paper uses a new participatory r esear ch method, r eferr ed to as Pr ocess- Influence Mapping, to shed light on these issues and r elated governance challenges, using the implementation of NREGA as an example. The Pr ocess-Influence Mapping tool helps identify the specific featur es of the NREGA implementation pr ocess that limit the pr ogram's effectiveness (for example, elite captur e in the definition of work and capacity limitations due to staff shortages and lack of training) and cr eate scope for the misappr opriation of funds. In the pr esent paper an attempt has been made to analyse tahsilwise sex ratio in Sangli District. For the detailed analysis in sex imbalance all the 9 tahsils in the district have been studied by using 2001 Census data. The sex ratio in rural population is generally higher than that of urban population. In Sangli district it is 962 as against 943 in urban ar eas. It is slightly higher (959) than the state average . Ther e is wide spatial variation not only in Rural but also in Urban sex ratios due to various socio-economic and demographic situations of the ar ea. T ahsils of very high sex ratio suffer fr om rigid topography , unfavourable economic conditions inducing male out-migration; as against developed agricultur e, market and service centr es, small scale agr o-based industries have influenced in-migration of males r esulting very low sex ratio in some of the vtahsils in the study ar ea

The pr esent study was undertaken to study the effect of exam anxiety on students' sleep deprivation and also corr elation between exam anxiety and sleep deprivation. A sample of 260 students(174 males and 86 females) of 10th grade wer e drawn thr ough the simple random technique fr om Gandhinagar district.

The DC electrical resistivity was studied for Ni Cu Zn Fe O + x WO 0.3 0.2 0.5 2 4 3 samples (x= 0.00 wt. % to 1.00 wt. % in the steps of 0.25wt. % WO ) prepared by using 3 conventional ceramic technique. The DC electrical resistivity ρ, Curie temperature Tc and activation energies for electric conduction in ferromagnetic (Ef) and paramagnetic (Fp) region. The variation of logarithm of resistivity with reciprocal of temperature shows a definite kink near Curie temperature. The plot of resistivity obeys the Arrhenius relation. It has been found that the resistivity decreases with WO additives significantly. 3 The activation energy in paramagnetic region and ferrimagnetic region has been calculated from resistivity plot. It is observed that the activation energy in paramagnetic region is greater than in ferrimagnetic region. Drift mobility of all the samples has been calculated and it was observed that the samples having higher resistivity have low mobility. And also mobility decreases as Curie temperature decreases.

Though the physical geographical factors have always been stressed as the drivers of urban change, the modern urban historical geography has emphasised the human politico-economic factors as the strong force triggering the urban dynamics. The similar factors also play a seminal role in the evolution and structuring of the cultural landscape of the cities. The urban cultural landscape, thus, is viewed more as a reflection of the dominant economic and political factors at work in the given period of time. Coastal Western India, i.e. coastal Gujarat and Konkan, has experienced various phases of urban growth and decline during the making of its urban cultural landscape. After the decline of the Mauryas and most importantly of the Buddhism during 3rd and 4th century AD, the region experienced its second phase of urban decline (first being after the fall of the Harappan system). Arabs emerged on the urban scene of the Coastal Western India during this period of urban decline and played an influential role in paving the way for the Indo-Islamic phase of urban cultural landscape. They not only infused life in the then dying urban landscape of the region but also got engaged in the rise of big cities like Cambay. A long period of residence of the Arabs in Coastal Western India marked the beginning of fresh set of cultural interaction between the locals and the Arabs. This paper investigated the performance and emission characteristics of various blends of Jatropha biodiesel with diesel on a Single cylinder four stroke diesel engine. The acquired data were analyzed for various parameters such as brake thermal efficiency (BTE), brake mean effective pressure (BMEP), brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC), exhaust gas temperature (EGT).The blends of BJ-10 and BJ-20 have superior emission characteristics than other blends and closer to diesel value.

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect on speed and strength (explosive strength) with the varied walking pattern of the women. The subject for this study were two hundred female students perusing their physical education courses in the five physical education colleges of Rajasthan. The walking pattern was categorized in three types, straight walking, outward walking and inward walking. The speed of the subjects was measured by 50 meter run and the strength explosive strength) was measured by standing vertical jump. The data were analysed by using ANOVA and it was concluded that, the speed walking pattern effects the speed and those running straight exhibited better performance than those running outward and inward, where as when walking pattern was analysed in relation to speed no significant difference was observed.
