Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : The search for agro-socioeconomic sustainability and new production System paradigms are greatest challenges of modern agriculture which involves among other technological practice an adequate soil management .For appropriate management of soils it is essential to understand physical and chemical properties of red and black soil viz. soil texture, bulk density ,cation exchange capacity, organic carbon ,available nitrogen .phosphorus and potassium. In present study of five samples of black and red soil in wardha region observe that black soil is alkaline in nature .Red soil is acidic to slightly alkaline in nature .Black soil have high cation exchange capacity than red soil. Red soils type are poor in organic matter, available nitrogen and phosphorus. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : Polarizabilty is the basis for dielectric properties of materials. Polymers are important class of materials as they are flexible and can be moulded to any complicated shape depending upon its application in electronic industry as an insulating material. Similarly surfaces properties particularly surface free energy of polymers play an important role in interfacial phenomenon. Polymers are widely used in packaging industry. Surface free energy of polymers has profound effect on various properties such as adhesion, wettability, printability etc, important from packaging applications. Surface free energy of polar polymers is higher as compared to non polar surfaces. Therefore, in the present investigation we try to understand the relation between dielectric properties and surface free energy in general and polar components of surface free energy in particular of variety of polymers. There is no relation between polar components of plasma processed polymers and dielectric constant. |

Analysis of Water Quality Using Physico-Chemical Parameters of Kolura Pond in Post- Monsoon Season, October 2012 |
Author : PAGARIYA S. K. |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : Quality of water is an important criterion for evaluating the suitability of water for irrigation and drinking. This paper deals with the study of physico-chemical parameters of pond water near village Kolura, Taluka Nerparsopant, District Yavatmal, Maharashtra. The study was made in the month October 2012.The samples of water were collected using standard procedural methods. The physiochemical analysis was extensively carried out on each sample using known standard methods. The results of this analysis point out the fact that all the parameters are within the permissible limits prescribed by WHO, ICMR and BIS drinking water standards which indicate that the water quality of Kolura pond is good and can be used for domestic, irrigation and drinking purposes. Abstract : Condensation of 2-substituted-3,5-dichloroacetophenones 2a-c obtained from the condensation of 2-hydroxy-3,5-dichloroacetophenone 1 and benzoyl chloride were dissolved in NaOH , on treatment under baker venkatraman transformation in presence of KOH with pyridine gives 1-(2-hydroxy-3,5- dichlorophenyl )-3-substituted-1,3- propanedione 3a-c. Then converted into 3–aroyl-6,8-dichloroflavanones 4a-i by using different aromatic aldehyde in the presence of ethanol, Piperidine. The condensation of 4a-i with crystal of iodine in DMF solvent gives 3-aroylflavone 5a-i. The condensation of 5a-i and phenylhydrazinehydrochlorides, piperidine in DMF gives 4-aroyl-3,5- diarylpyrazoles 6a-i and condensation of 5a- i and hydroxylaminehydrochlorides gives 4- aroyl–3,5diarylisoxazoles 7a –i. The above compounds are screened for their antimicrobial activities and have been found to exhibit significant antibacterial and antifungal activities. The zones of inhibition measured in term of mm. Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract : Up to now, strontium aluminate SrAl4O7 (SA2) could be synthesized by solidification from the high temperature liquid state, a spray dried amorphous precursor etc. In this paper Combustion synthesis was used for preparation of SrAl4O7 and Sr3Al32O51 compound. Combustion synthesis furnishes a quick method for preparing these phosphors. Further, Eu2+ luminescence in these hosts is studied. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results confirmed the formation of single-phase compounds. The photoluminescence spectrum of SrAl4O7:Eu2+ gives a broad band emission at 508 nm corresponding to 4f65d1 → 4f6 (8S7/2) transition upon excitation of 342 nm and Sr3Al32O51:Eu2+ shows emission at 450 nm for excitation at 325 nm. This paper reports results on the luminescence of Eu2+ in strontium aluminate . |

Abstract : Condensation of 2-substituted-3,5-dichloroacetophenones 2a-b obtained from the condensation of 2-hydroxy-3,5-dichloroacetophenone 1 and benzoyl chloride were dissolved in NaOH , on treatment under baker venkatraman transformation in presence of KOH with pyridine gives 1-(2-hydroxy-3,5- dichlorophenyl )-3-substituted-1,3- propanedione 3a-b. Then converted into 3–aroyl-6,8-dichloroflavanones 4a-d by using different aromatic aldehyde in the presence of ethanol, Piperidine. The condensation of 4a-d and phenylhydrazinehydrochlorides, piperidine in DMSO gives 4-aroyl-∆2- pyrazolines 5a-d.Condensation of 5a- d and hydroxylaminehydrochlorides gives 4-aroyl- ∆2- isoxazolines 6a –d. The above compounds are screened for their activities on horticultural plants and have been found to exhibit significant effects. |
