Comparative Study of Anilinium based Ionic liquids | Author : MEENATCHI B. RENUGA V. | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract : Green chemistry is not an emerging trend but a reality owing to its applications. Green chemistry is a chemical philosophy, encouraging the design of products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances. Ionic liquids have emerged as possible substitutes for volatile organic solvents and have found many applications in a variety of research area since they are green solvents. Anilium based ionic liquids are prepared and their characteristics like solubility, conductivity and interactions with other substances are measured and used in certain organic synthesis giving higher yield than other traditional solvents. |
| Separation of Methanol & Toluene From Spent Toluene And Methanol Mixture Azeotropically | Author : Prof. V. C. Renge, Alok K. Meshram, Pavan K. Badukale | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract : There are economic and environmental benefits when we recover solvent for reuse, especially when expensive solvents and large volumes are involved. An industry has been recovering solvents for many decades at facilities. Solvent recovery is a routine practice in the pharmaceutical industry when it is technically and economically viable for the particular waste stream. Various waste streams being generated at an API (Active pharmaceutical ingredient) synthesis plant. The goal is to investigate those streams that could not be most easily recovered with traditional separation and purification processes. As a first step in that analysis, the recovery of toluene & methanol solvent from a waste stream in the synthesis was considered. Here it is very difficult to separate this complex mixture, so that for separation of this complex mixture azeotropic distillation method is to establish by using the water and an entrainer. |
| Viscometric Measurement Of Substituted-Dioxo-Naphthacene-2-Carboxamide And Substituted-Spiro[1-Benzofuran2,1’-Cychlohex-2-Ene]-3,4’-Dione Drugs In Ethanol–Water Mixture At Various Percentage Compositions. | Author : Jumde K. P., Lunge M. S., Tayade D. T. , Dubey V. S | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract : Recently in this laboratory the viscometric measurement of (4S,6S,12aS)-4- (dimethyl- amino)-1,4,4a,5,5a,6,11,12a-octahydro-3,6,10,12,12a-pentahydroxy-6-methyl- 1,11-dioxo- naphthacene -2-carboxamide[DMPMDC] and (2S, 6R)-7-chloro -2, 4, 6- trimethoxy-6'-methyl-3H, 4'H-spiro[1-benzofuran 2, 1’-] cychohex-2-ene]-3,4'- dione[CTMBCD] were carried out at different percentage compositions of solvent to investigate the solute-solvent interactions of drugs with solvent and the effect of dilution of the solvent. The effects of various substituents were also investigated. The results obtained during this investigation gave detail information about pharmokinetics and pharmodynamics of these drugs. |
