Abstract :HiSTOReLo. Revista de Historia Regional y Local presenta su quinto número, con el cual ofrece distintas novedades orientadas a lograr un mayor dinamismo editorial y académico. La primera novedad se relaciona con la nueva composición del Comité Científico. Hemos invitado, con miras a lograr una mayor dinámica, hacia la internacionalización del proyecto, a prestigiosos profesores de Argentina, México, Brasil y los EE.UU. El propósito es redimensionar la red nacional de historiadores locales y regionales en una perspectiva latinoamericanista con énfasis en los estudios locales y regionales, que contribuyan a futuros estudios comparativos. Gratitud y bienvenida a todos los miembros del nuevo equipo editorial. La segunda novedad es la creciente virtualización de la revista, la cual se relaciona con diferentes y nuevos procesos de indexación e indización en sistemas, redes y bases de datos bibliográficas de carácter global. Haber obtenido la Categoría C en Publindex-Colciencias (Colombia) refleja la calidad académica del proyecto, y es un estímulo importante con miras a lograr un mayor impacto académico en el contexto internacional. Es necesario felicitar a todos nuestros colaboradores, –profesores, académicos, investigadores, estudiantes y becarios–, quienes han participado en calidad de lectores, autores y revisores en los distintos números de la revista. La tercera novedad se relaciona con el nuevo diseño y formato digital propuesto por Melissa Gaviria Henao, el cual representa una imagen moderna y dinámica en términos visuales, y es una contribución de la Oficina de Comunicaciones de la Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y Económicas de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, sede Medellín.s |

Abstract :The text describes the functioning of the Uribe Ruiz Hermanos trade house, which operated in Antioquia’s municipalities of Rionegro, Medellín and Manizales, from 1894 to 1916. In Colombia, in the mid-19th Century, the opportunities to expand the raw materials export trade and goods import increased. Antioquia was one of the most dynamic regions of the country in terms of developing trade relations and integration of local urban markets through trading. Pedro and Estanislao Uribe Ruiz, founders of Uribe Ruiz Hermanos, organized their trading house through parental network ensuring the continuity of the business and the confidence to invest in different economic fields, as was the custom among other antioquian traders in 19th century. The main source for this article was the José María Uribe Uribe archive, which content information about the José María Uribe e Hijos and Uribe Ruiz Hermanos commercial firms, between 1838-1921. |

Abstract :The article analyzes some managing and financial dynamics within the “Bridle path from García Rovira to Casanare business society” between 1870 and 1880. Thus the article analyses the context in which the society is established, the role and duties from the members and relationships around this business society. According to this, it is highlighted the leadership from the General Solón Wilches, President from the Santander State and his interest on the construction of a trading way towards Los Llanos del Casanare. Finally, this article offers an understanding about the accounting and member’s statement, from the company’s account books. |

Abstract : This article is the result of the historical evaluation of documents from the Family Archive Escobar Villegas 1870-1988; owner of the Hacienda la Morela, located in the Municipality of Puerto Berrio (Antioquia – Colombia). This text is part of the final report of the thesis, developed in the form of organization sources to qualify for the title of historian. The documentation for this fund provides information on the economic history of the Antioquia region of Magdalena Medio, in terms of relations of production in the livestock sector. Therefore, the article describes the meat export business in this Treasury to some countries like Italy, Peru and Chile during the period from 1965 to 1968, headed by Raul Escobar Restrepo (1919-1988), son of Concepción Restrepo Jorge Restrepo and Escobar Chavarriaga, owners of the Hacienda La Morela. |

Abstract :Taking as the centre of reflection the process around a peculiar experience of political participation which took place in Jujuy –a northern province of Argentina– at about the 1930s we say that the chances of dialogue between regional history and Italian microhistory depend on previous position around the epistemological question of the tension between explanation and understanding, assuming that the rescue of historical singularity does not collide with the search of regularities in social action. The analysis of the concrete event under consideration is based on the methodological premise in accordance with it the sense make aware by the actors in their practices it captures through a strong exercise of contextualization that points towards the particular historical framework in which the phenomenon becomes intelligible. It was fundamental the allusion to the process that had been formed and grasped with reference to a regional level. We want to install the reflection around the appropriateness of regard the regional level as an adequate space of analysis in order to the results of historical reconstruction exceed its original frameworks and light up distant realities across the space or the time. |

Abstract :The text offers an evaluation of regional studies in Colombia. The elements the author has for the interpretation are: 1) A contextual understanding about discipline institutionalization. 2) An analysis about the Region concept possibilities and problems. 3) A critical evaluation about the local monographic production mainly focused on the Antioqueño matter. And, 4) an overview of recent tendencies on local studies from the seen production in the Sistema Nacional de Investigación and Colciencias, and information offered by some History Departments from the country. |

Abstract :The purpose of this paper is to explore the Colombian historiography produced during the XX century about “Women within the independence”; in order to identify the pictures, roles and speeches that historians resorted to, for creating the categories: “Heroines”, “Martyrs”, “Realists”. History from the gender studies perspective provides analytical, theoretical and conceptual tools that allow visualizing and discovering the female’s history and their role as a political character. |

Abstract :The discovery of two engraving Flemish series from 17th century about El Credo, from the artists Adrian Collaert (1560-1618) and Johan Sadeler (1550-1600), allows proving the presence of European engravings within the painting works in the Hispanic America and the great influence on our artists’ formation. Thus based on this, are analyzed the eleven oil paintings that constitute the Series of Goods from El Credo, from the painter from Quito Miguel de Santiago (1603-1706) that are from the colonial time in the Catedral Primada de Bogotá. |

Abstract :From two study variables, this article aims to approach to the unknown but influential Masonic sociability in Pereira city (Colombia). In one hand, it is analyzed and described the contribution from Libres Nº 17 and Luz del Risaralda Nº 13 lodges in the social, cultural and political changes between the years 1960 and 1975. These actions were supporting by the development of a philanthropic project based on Masonic goals; working for the mankind progress and to build a free men and good modals society. In the other hand it is analyzed from the Elite Theory, the nominal shaping of Masonic lodges from Pereira between 1960 and 1975, and the way these power and valuable elites had an effect on many modernization processes within this study period. |
