Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The objective of this paper is to introduce, explain and compare the performance of single-labeled supervised learning algorithms in R language on benchmark single labeled data sets. Data is rich with hidden information that can be used for intelligent decision making. Classification is a form of data analysis that extracts models describing important data classes, the traditional classification algorithms like decision tree, random forest, support vector machine, naive-bayes are used under inspection. We have considered four measures (sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, F-measure) of performance here, the observations of all data set accuracy lead to infer that Random Forest outperforms the other classification methods. For more justification of our result we have implemented the same algorithms with same data sets in weka tool also. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Global energy requirement is increasing exponentially. This amplify in demand causes fear pertaining to the international energy crisis and allied green pressure. The key of these issues is seen in renewable power sources. Solar energy is measured single of the main sources of renewable power, obtainable in great quantity and also without charge of price. Solar photovoltaic (PV) cells are damaged to change solar power into tolerant electrical power. These solar PV cells show nonlinear quality and offer very short competence. consequently, it becomes important to take out upper limit power starting solar PV cells by means of maximum power point tracking (MPPT). Perturb and observe (P&O) is one of such MPPT schemes. The behaviour of MPPT schemes under continually changing atmospheric conditions is critical. It leads to two conditions, i.e., rapid change in solar irradiation and partial shading due to clouds, etc. Also, the behaviour of MPPT schemes under changed load condition becomes significant to analyze. This article aims to address the issue of the conventional P&O MPPT scheme under increase solar irradiation condition and its behaviour under changed load condition. The modified MPPT scheme is implemented in the control circuit of a DC–DC converter. The simulation study is done using MATLAB/ simulation. The results of the MPPT scheme are compared with existing schemes. The modified MPPT scheme works fast and gives improved results under change of solar irradiation. Furthermore, the steady state oscillations are also reduced. |

Author : J. S. Soni; CH. Krishna Reddy; K. Mani Kumar; M. Tharunkumar Reddy; M. Venkata Sai Ram |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The waste leaves and grass are available in large volumes. They can be processed and produced in the shape of pellets which can be used as domestic fuel and domestic products. This will also help in conserving energy, saving forest trees from felling and keeping the environment clean. This project is about processing of raw material and production of pellets using Pellet machine. The dry leaves fallen from tree and dry grass is collected and ground in a grinder and is converted into a thick powder form. This powder is then mixed with the starchs in a mixer. These agents can be any liquid (starch) obtained during boiling of rice. After mixing the powder and starch, the mixture is converted in the form of pellets with the help of pellet machine. For this purpose a machine has been designed and used. |

Author : P. Venu Gopal, Shaik Bilal, Khaja Zainuddin Ansari, Mohd Shoeb Ahmed, J. S. Soni |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Alumina is a ceramic material having high melting temperatures, good mechanical properties and it is used for various applications such as furnace components, electronics substrates, cutting tools, abrasion and corrosion resistant applications. The primary objective of this study is to determine the sintering conditions required for densification of alumina powder to its near theoretical density. The effect of sintering temperature on the sintered density was studied in this paper. The effect of sintering time on densification was also studied by varying the sintering (soaking) time and found that the densification increases with increase in sintering time. Even though density increased with soaking time full densification was not achieved even at 14 hrs of sintering. For keeping sintering time within a reasonable limit, alumina samples were sintered with 1 % of Magnesium Oxide (MgO) by weight. The soaking time required for densification of alumina powder with MgO additive to its near theoretical value was determined. Microstructures of the sintered samples were developed and the hardness of the sintered product was evaluated .This study has shown that the MgO is an effective sintering aid for sintering alumina. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :This paper is about the applicability of water plasma arc welding for the mild steel pieces and how the process will take place. This is done with an intension of knowing the parameters and how they will influence the rate and mechanism o welding especially if it compared with the conventional welding processes. There should be some specific reason for an action in the universe as like the usage of plasma arc welding too. This is been discovered for the making of intricate hole and in the high precise applications such as aerospace industry. With reference to that as the plasma arc welding can make to such an extent produce the high precise holes. Why can’t it will produce the high strength welding and defects free welding. This is intension for this research and this is what exactly been carried out for by making the water plasma arc welding for the mild steel pieces of three sizes. While performing welding, the process parameters and decision variables were emphasized bt recording the data, analyzing that and summarizing at the end finalizing them. After that the Non destructive and destructive testing’s carried out for knowing the soundness of the weld. |

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :This work is about the study and analysis of the plasma arc machine for its applicability and adaptability for cutting of mild steel and stainless steel plates of various thicknesses. For making of this work plasma arc machine of prescribed features have been selected and in addition mild steel pieces of size 150mm x150mm x 5mm and 150mm x150mm x10mm and 150mm x 150mm x 15mm were taken. And stainless steel of 50mm x 150mm x 5mm taken. At first the machine is conditioned for cutting process by suitable means of fluids and parts. For this work Distilled water and acetone were chosen by 50:50 (v/v) and fed to the cutting torch. Actually methanol has to be used for this purpose however because of non availability and non affordability a similar kind of liquid acetone is used. Next the M.S. and S.S. plates are cleaned enough to making cutting. As the power input and output must be same based on this the voltage, current and resistance within the system are calculated after the initiation of cutting. In addition to this the angle of torch, direction of cutting, shielding gas flow rate, time for setting, holding, cutting, length of cut against time all these are recorded. By applying suitable means of formulae analysis is done. At the end the material removal rate, time took for cut, angle of torch, voltage used, current consumed, resistance and hardness at various locations, roughness of cut were calculated for the purpose of further investigation and optimization of parameters. At the same time the variations that observed in the work piece were found such its change in hardness. As plasma arc is mainly intended for making intricate holes but the present work is emphasized on cutting using the plasma arc process. So by default is adaptability has to be justified. This work has made an arena by plotting control charts. At the end the results and further scope discussed. |
