The Impact of Customer Satisfaction to Company Performance: A Study of Beauty Salons | Author : Prof. Dr. Pop Alexandra-Lucia | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The current study aims to identify the factors that have a significant impact on the companys performance and may influence its future development. The data collection was done through a personalized questionnaire, which was applied to 216 clients of beauty salons in Cluj-Napoca. Through computed descriptive statistics, the most purchased beauty services were hairdressers, cosmetics, and manicure / pedicure. Clients who earn less money buy more beauty services compared to those who earn more. I used multiple regression analysis to identify which factors (satisfaction, repurchase, recommendation) influence a companys performance and what is the long-term impact. Thus, only consumer satisfaction and repurchase influence the companys performance. The repurchase action has a greater impact than the level of customer satisfaction. In the long run, beauty salon managers must consider, on one hand, the increase in the level of customer satisfaction and, on the other hand, for loyal customers, the implementation of personalized sales strategies.

| Enhancing Study Power in Pediatric Research through Bayesian Extrapolation | Author : Beibei Wang, Li Yun, Xu Yang, Huang Ho | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Pediatric populations, comprising individuals aged 18 or younger, and rare disease populations pose significant challenges in clinical trial design due to limited participant numbers, patient sensitivity, and insufficient natural history data. Addressing these challenges often involves data extrapolation, leveraging existing data from adults to inform pediatric trials. Bayesian hierarchical modeling is increasingly recognized as a valuable tool for combining information across disparate sources, such as adult and pediatric datasets. This manuscript introduces an extension of an existing statistical model to enhance the efficiency of borrowing strength from multiple historical trials under consistent assumptions. A quantitative method is developed to improve the borrowing of historical information. The methods are illustrated with a simulation study motivated by real case study in pediatric clinical trial, and practical considerations are provided regarding the selection of prior distributions. This work aims to provide comprehensive insights and practical guidance for leveraging historical data effectively in clinical trial design.

| Correlational Analysis of Food and Nutrition Literacy and Academic Performance among Intermediate-Level Students | Author : Lovely S. Arenasa, Jeia L. Baul, Vil Jane L. Bustillos, Jovenil R. Bacatan | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This study aimed to determine the significant relationship between food and nutrition literacy and academic performance among intermediate-level students. Total population sampling was used which included fifty-three respondents. Through non-experimental quantitative descriptive-correlational research technique, validated questionnaire, Mean, and Pearson-Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (Pearson-r); results showed that the level of food and nutrition literacy was high or evident. It was also found out that the level of students academic performance was satisfactory. There was a no significant relationship between food and nutrition literacy and students academic performance. This means that the level of knowledge and skills about food and nutrition does not have a significant association to the academic performance of the students. In other words, whether a student knows a lot or a little about food and nutrition does not significantly correlate with their grades or academic success. The researchers recommended that teachers continue educating students about food and nutritional concepts, as well as developing academic performance. In addition to that, future researchers may conduct longitudinal studies to track the impact of food and nutrition literacy over time.

| Audit Quality and Accounting Going Concern: An Altman Z score Approach | Author : Udeme Enobong Eshiet, Michael Chidiebere Ekwe, Josephine Adanma Nmesirionye, Uduak Esuma Akpan | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This empirical study evaluated the effect of audit quality on accounting going concern of listed manufacturing firms in Nigeria between 2015 and 2020. The research design adopted for this study was the ex-post facto research design. Secondary data were collected from audited reports and accounts of the related manufacturing firms listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange Fact Book. Using the Krejcie and Morgan formula to obtain a homogenous sample, 38 firms were selected from the healthcare, consumer goods and industrial sub sectors of the Nigerian economy. Data were analyzed with the aid of Ordinary Least Squares method of multiple regression. From the random effects model, the variable of audit firm size (Coef. = 0.604, z = 1.21 and p – value = 0.226) has a positive effect and statistically insignificant at 5%. Audit tenure (Coef. = 0.557, z = 2.05 and p – value = 0.040) has a positive effect and statistically significant at 5%. The variable auditors fees (Coef. = -5.160, z = -1.93 and p- value = 0.054) has a negative effect and statistically significant at 5%. Based on the findings of this study, it was concluded that the Going Concern assumption is vital for the valuation of business assets since these assets can be valued upon their business values in use rather than their termination values, which in general are a lot lower. If a firm is not expected to continue to stay in business in the foreseeable future, the auditor can give an adverse opinion in the form of a Going Concern Opinion. The manufacturing sector is extremely crucial for the economic growth and development of a developing economy such as Nigeria. It is therefore recommended that (i) Managers of listed manufacturing firms in Nigeria should become part owners of the firms so as to (a) have the same incentives as the owners (b) lower the level of conflict of interests since this have been proven to have significant negative correlation with the problem of Accounting Going Concern (ii) Managerial policies that tend to increase audit fee should be re-examined and possibly reviewed downwards especially if the aim is to improve the firms Accounting Going Concern.

| Persuasiveness of Language in Climate Change Speeches | Author : Sarmiento, Jhurie Ann, Aniñon, Enrique, Cañete, Julia Alexandrea, Ana Mae M. Monteza, PhD | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This study seeks to discover persuasive strategies used to communicate or address certain issues that are addressed during a speech, specifically climate change speeches. The speeches that were used in this study were recorded videos of Yeb Sano, Barack Obama, and Gina Lopez that were uploaded on the internet. By examining those videos thoroughly, we dissected every part using the framework of analysis by Bitzer (1992) which composes the key elements of classical theoretical tradition including The Five Canons of Rhetoric, Ethos, Pathos, Logos, Figure of speech, and Oratory. After analyzing it using this tool, we concluded that more technicalities come with writing an effective speech. Using all those analysis frameworks and techniques we have discovered that a lot of aspects come into play in creating a persuasive speech. Using the Framework of Analysis by Lloyd F. Bitzer we have delved into the realm where persuasiveness of language that are manifested through the following parameters; first is the classical rhetorical tradition which consists of the five cannons of rhetoric and a few more which are discussed individually in the following chapters below. We also opted to use Colaizzis method of data analysis to explore the array of different responses of commenters from those recorded videos. Using the thematic patterning of Colaizzi, the following findings were aspects of the effectiveness of speech were highlighted, we found Seven factors that contribute to the effectiveness of a persuasive speech. With the help of the same patterning, we have also discovered four factors that contribute to or make the speech to be ineffective. Now we want this study to be helpful to some individuals who struggle to make their audience immersed or engaged when listening to their speeches.

| Public Debt Economic Growth Nexus: How Effective to Allay Resetting Economic Growth of India | Author : Dr. Rekha, Dr. Dev Karan | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :There are two primary schools of thought in contemporary debates on the causes of Indias debt crisis: those linked to changes in the world economy and those connected to errors in domestic policy. Because of the instability of the world economy, developing countries like India are forced to borrow money from national and international institutions to make up the difference in their spending. For these capital-poor economies to improve their capital stock and stable levels of per capita output, borrowing is considered essential. According to conventional economic theory, public debt can temporarily increase economic development by promoting aggregate demand. Nonetheless, the majority of empirical research conducted in many nations shows that public debt and long-term economic growth are negatively correlated. Theoretically, it is still unclear how much public debt has contributed to Indias economic expansion. The purpose of this study was to investigate how public debt affected Indias economic growth from 1991 and 2022. The study looked at the connection between Indias economic expansion and public debt. The report suggests that borrowed money be used to diversify the productive capacities of the economy and advises cautious management of governmental debts. This would produce sufficient resources to settle the obligations without having a negative impact on the economy.

| Influence of Parental Separation on Academic Performance of Senior High School Students | Author : Kyle Dominick Caab | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The family, recognized as the basic unit of society, plays a crucial role in the early socialization and moral development of children. It provides essential support for their growth and overall well-being. However, parental separation, an increasing prevalent phenomenon, introduces significant challenges that may affect childrens academic performance. This study investigates the influence of parental separation on the academic performance of Senior High School students in Digos City, Philippines. Utilizing a non-experimental descriptive research design, the study analyzed data from nine (9) Grade 12 students through simple random sampling. The research employed standardized and validated questionnaires to assess three key aspects: the relationship of parental separation, reasons for parental separation, and effects of parental separation. The findings reveal that the influence of parental separation on academic performance is often manifested, though the relationship between these variables is described as moderate. Interestingly, the study also found no significant difference in academic performance when grouped by sex or academic strand, suggesting that while parental separation presents challenges, other mitigating factors may play a role in buffering its impact. These findings underscore the importance of a supportive family and educational environment in maintaining academic engagement despite familial disruptions. The study contributes valuable insights for parents, educators, and policymakers, highlighting the need for targeted interventions to support students navigating the complexities of parental separation.

| Philosophical Aspects of Library Studies | Author : Ahmadov Elchin Yusif oglu, Agayeva Nurlana Janpolad gizi | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :The scientific-theoretical basis of the library science methodology is made up of world philosophy, logical science, special library science laws and principles aimed at the process of understanding. Also, librarianship widely benefits from the laws and principles of sociology in solving its theoretical and practical issues. Accurate definition of the scientific-theoretical bases of the methodology of librarianship is of great importance for its formation as a science, solving the problems of library work, and making serious scientific generalizations. It is impossible to develop strict scientific laws, principles and recommendations without scientific methodology. Scientific methodology allows librarianship to be free from all uncertainties, unfounded assumptions and scientific errors. Thus, one cannot talk about the development of modern librarianship as a science without having a scientific methodology. Librarians, theoreticians of library work should use the rules, principles and norms of the methodology when solving non-standard, complex librarianship problems, and draw their scientific conclusions and recommendations based on it. In other words, librarians should directly base their scientific conclusions and recommendations on methodology. Therefore, conducting high scientific research requires librarians to be based on both professional librarianship knowledge and philosophical, logical and sociological knowledge. Thus, the understanding of librarianship as both philosophical, logical and sociological, as well as special librarianship, gives rise to a general and special methodology. Conducting high scientific research requires librarians to be based on both professional librarianship knowledge and philosophical, logical and sociological knowledge. Thus, the understanding of librarianship as both philosophical, logical and sociological, as well as special librarianship, gives rise to a general and special methodology.

| Comparative Analysis on Continuous Assessments Validation for Biology and Physics Teachers in Katsina Educational Zone, Nigeria | Author : Hamidu Saadu, Badamasi Lurwanu Gafai, Muhammad Danjuma | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :This research is on continuous assessment (CA) and academic performance in biology and physics students in secondary schools in Kastina educational zone. There is no empirical data to support the validity and reliability of the CAs being administrated in schools. Ninety four were purposely sampled within thirteen senior secondary schools from the selected study area. Past CA questions for the term were collected from both Biology and Physics teachers. The researchers used, a 4-points Likert scale instrument for factor analysis and validation of the CA. The reliability of the instrument used for CA validation was established through Cronbach Alpha. A reliability of 0.863 shows the reliability of the instrument. The interviews were conducted on biology and physics teachers using structured questions. The data was analyzed on the significant difference of the validity between CA questions composed by male and that of female teachers. And also determine significant difference in validation between Biology and Physics CA questions (p > 0.05). The findings of the study revealed high mean scores =2.5 on the use of cognitive and psychomotor domains as well as evidence of practical activity in Biology CAs. While in Physics CAs mean score =2.5 on used of cognitive and affective domains respectively. Where affective domain was not observed in Biology CAs, psychomotor domain was completely absence in the Physics CAs. Low frequencies of CA administrated per term were observed in all the subjects. Similarly, the sets of CA questions for the two subjects per term were not comprehensive enough to capture wide range of assessment instruments. Some of the challenges associated with CA administration are large class size represented by 20% and 11% in Biology and Physics respectively. This is followed by students negative attitude towards CAs with 12% in Physics and 3% in Biology. There is significant difference in terms of validity between CA questions composed by male and that of female teachers. However, there is no significant difference in validation between that of Biology and Physics CA questions (p > 0.05). Recommendations proffered include Government should make provision of additional classes and staff to address the issues of very large class size and reduce the size of teacher: student ratio. And also embark on electronic CA in form of software across all schools with aim of addressing problems; lack of standardization, marking stress and loss of records.
