Isolation of Streptococcus and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Test From Clinical Equipment and Clinical Case Animals at Veterinary Clinic in Bishoftu Town, Ethiopia | Author : Dr. Wubnesh Mihretie | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Abstract
Cross-contamination of pathogenic Streptococcus among infected host to their surrounding environment such as areas in which its handled for diagnosis and treatment Is a serious concern in the field of veterinary and human medicine. The aim of this study was to isolate multi-antibiotics-resistant streptococcus from animals and clinical equipment in the veterinary teaching hospital, CVMA in Bishoftu town from April 2024 to June 2024. A total of 60 samples were collected, from which 33 were collected purposively from clinical equipment and 27 samples were collected randomly from clinical case animals. Isolation of streptococci was conducted by using morphological and colony characterizing on nutrient agar, Edward media, Gram staining, hemolytic properties on Blood agar, Biochemical tests, and also antimicrobial tests against twenty isolates. In the present study, the prevalence of Multi-drug resistant streptococci was 33.3% with no statistical difference in the prevalence of streptococci between case animal and clinical equipment (P-value > 0.05). An antimicrobial test of ten antibiotic disks against 20 isolates indicated 100% susceptibility to Gentamycin and Streptomycin. However, they were 100% resistant to penicillin, ceftazidime and Methicillin. Therefore, clinical staff should follow strict safety and hygienic practices, and antimicrobial susceptibility tests of antibiotics should be done before administering antibiotics for wound and upper respiratory infections. |
| Formulation and Evaluation of Anti-Arthritic Activity of Newly Prepared Rajata Bhasma | Author : Dr. Afrin Alam | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Abstract
Bhasma is a powder of a substance obtained by calcination is called Bhasma. One of the herbs, metallic concoctions used in Ayurveda, an ancient Indian medical system, to treat a variety of illnesses is Rajata Bhasma. It needs to undergo various classical procedures like Shodhana and Marana to make it assimilable for the body. A number of steps in the pharmaceutical process are used to prepare a formulation. The preparation of different minerals, herbomineral, metallic, herbs-metallic, and marine-herbal compositions is the focus of the Ayurvedic field of rasa shastra. Since Rajat (silver) cannot be admitted in metal form, it is recommended that it be transformed into Bhasma form using several processes. The entire process of making Bhasma is considered part of its pharmaceutical preparation then after Rajat Bhasma is evaluated for Anti-Arthritic activity suitable methods are used for in vivo estimation of pharmacological activity.

| Autism Spectrum Disorder: Etiology, Recovery, and Prevention | Author : Dr. Xinghong Yang | Abstract | Full Text | Abstract :Abstract
The etiology of autism remains elusive in conventional medicine, with varying ages of onset and unclear causative factors. However, alternative perspectives suggest that spiritual influences may play a significant role in the development of autism. Dharma Master Jun Hong Lu, through His Dharma teachings, has provided insights into the underlying spiritual mechanisms contributing to autism, particularly emphasizing the impact of spirit possession and karmic consequences. Karmic factors associated with autism include killing karma from abortion, animal slaughter, and ancestral karma. Additionally, playing spiritual games, exposure to inappropriate content online, receiving a grandiose name, and disharmony between parents can contribute to the development of autism. Regardless of the cause, autistic children are occupied by spirits, which must be ascended to heal the children. Case reports within the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door community support the effectiveness of these spiritual interventions in treating autism, offering hope to families struggling with this complex disorder.
